Alright, So I guess you’ve figured out blogging is not really my thing! Sorry for the update delay. But I guess I can blame it on the longggg reading list for Community Building, haha (Ok, bad joke
)
Well let’s talk about Delicious, to be honest I have not been really active on it and it’s not because I don’t like communities, because I am very active on many communities including my favorites Facebook and Twitter. I don’t think bookmarks excite me enough. I always had a very unorganized bookmark folder on my computers. When I came accross a website I really liked I would just add it to my folder along with many other unsorted bookmarks, which makes it so hard to trace back, that I find myself just looking in the History folder because it was faster.
I was really excited about Delicious, because I thought it would be a fun new way to be more organized, however not much had changed there.
Whenever I come across another cool site I would add it to delicious, just as I would of normally added it to my bookmark folder and I won’t go back to check it unless I need it. I rarely feel the need to share links with friends, mostly because we have different interests.
On a more positive note however, I do really appreciate the “tags” and “category” option. When I add a bookmark, I can simply add a few words concerning the link and then It’s easily traceable on the right hand side, because it’s added to the correct category. This I like!
But furthermore my social skills have not really blossomed as yet…
I’m Out!
